The Fulbaria Traffic Zone under the Lalbagh Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) organised a free fortnightly health camp for drivers and helpers at the Fulbaria Bus Terminal on Saturday.
The health camp was arranged with the support of Ibn Sina Diagnostic and Consultation Center to provide basic healthcare services to transport workers operating in different areas under the Fulbaria Traffic Zone.
The initiative was organised following the directives of Additional Commissioner (Traffic) of DMP, Md Anisur Rahman, and under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Traffic (Lalbagh Division), Md Mofizul Islam.
Among those present at the event were Additional Deputy Commissioner of Traffic (Lalbagh Division) Pahan Chakma, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Fulbaria Traffic Zone) Mahmudul Hasan, Police Inspector Shamsul Islam, and other police officials of the zone.
A total of 51 drivers and helpers received free medical consultation and healthcare services during the fortnightly health camp.
The initiative is part of the traffic division's ongoing efforts to promote the health and well-being of transport workers serving the city's road network.
