Four people including father and two sons were killed by lightning strike at Pachuria Village in Bera Upazila of Pabna on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Motaleb Sardar, 50, his son Farid Sardar, 20, Sharif Sardar, 18, and Rahmat Ali, 55, of the village.
Witnesses said thunderbolt struck them when they were cleaning jute at a ditch near the play ground of Pachuria School around 2:00pm, leaving them dead on the spot.
Chakla Union Chairman Faruq Hossain said they were killed by lightning strike while cleaning jute at a ditch. A shock wave is prevailing in the area following their death.
Officer-in-Charge of Bera Model Police Station Shahid Mahmud confirmed the matter.
