Foreign tricks to grab Saint Martin’s!

Published : 15 Jun 2023 11:08 PM

The people of Bangladesh are not that much fool as some super powers may think about them. The common people can clearly understand the policy of hegemony pursued by the superpowers. As the world is now digitalized, nothing can be kept secret and even the common man can comprehend the intention of the super powers which are dominating the world economy and military might of the world.

Hacking has been going on since long, even the Pentagon was hacked. So, nothing can be hidden in any way.

It matters little with the USA whether democracy exists or not in Bangladesh although it is very vocal about democracy. It only

wants to see its purpose or interest served by any means.

The US sanction on the RAB is undesirable and unacceptable to reason. The US did not  impose sanction on Israel although wanton  killing of children and innocent Palestinians is going on there by Israel.

The recent US move regarding the upcoming general election in Bangladesh is crystal clear to   common people of the country.

The US cannot ensure its world dominance if democracy remains in Bangladesh only.

Workers Party Bangladesh President Rashed Khan Menon on Wednesday asserted that the United States is after Saint Martin's Island and that the new US visa policy is part of a strategy for “regime change”.

A tremendous pressure reportedly by the US mounts on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her leadership only to grab highly geopolitically important Saint Martin’s Island of Bangladesh.

Some vested interests, especially the foreign forces, who had opposed the liberation of Bangladesh in 1971, are putting pressure on Sheikh Hasina due to the geo-political condition, as Bangladesh holds a very important position.

Keeping the Indo-Pacific objectives, the foreign forces have become very active to grab the Saint Martin’s.

According to security experts, if these foreign forces can grab the Saint Martin’s Island, they can get huge military advantage in the Indo-Pacific region. Without controlling Saint Martin’s and its adjacent areas, none of these super powers can achieve their long term strategic goals. Even the Indo-Pacific strategy of some mighty countries will be totally unsuccessful, only if the Saint Martin’s remains out their control.

All foreign countries, especially the Western countries know it very well that Sheikh Hasina will never and ever compromise with the national interests of her beloved country, for which her father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman struggled throughout his life and finally sacrificed his life for this country.

Political observers opined that without these issues, there are no reasons for these vested international quarters to oppose Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Sensing these issues Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recently said that the people of Bangladesh will never bow down to any foreign pressure.

She further firmly told that no matter how much foreign pressure comes, the Bangalees will never bow down to that pressure.

Sheikh Hasina  also said we must always remember that this country is ours. We will not let anyone play ducks and drakes with the fate of the people of this country.

She vowed that none could suppress the people of Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister said no external force will put BNP in power, rather they will be used.

They think someone, coming from somewhere else, will bring them to power. None will do (bring them to power) and ever does it, rather will use them. It will use (them), but won't give them power," she said in reference to BNP's excitement following the announcement of the new US visa policy.

In a recent interview with BBC, Sheikh Hasina told that the United States may not want her, or the progress her government made, to continue.

She also said, maybe the USA doesn’t want me to continue – or, the progress we are making for Bangladesh, they may not accept it. This is my feeling.

She clearly said that she was not afraid of foreign sanctions and that Bangladesh would not make any purchases from any country that would impose sanctions on it.

‘What is there to fear? We are not dependent on anyone. Whatever we need, we can produce ourselves,’ she said.

‘No word, no message, but to give us fear about sanctions, why should we keep our mouth shut in fear? Let us not forget that we made the country independent by fighting the liberation war, and conquering those who threatened us with our seventh fleet. If necessary, [we] will eat one meal, there is no problem,’ she said.
