Japanese technology company Canon has recently launched its new 24.2-megapixel full-frame mirrorless camera, the EOS R8 Mark II, in the Bangladeshi market.
This camera weighs just 546 grams. It features new creative options, an easy-to-use interface, improved stabilization technology, and several advanced features borrowed from Canon's higher-end models.
This Canon camera is compact and lightweight. Canon stated that it is their smallest and lightest full-frame mirror less camera. Its dimensions are 131.4 × 90 × 79.7 mm, and it weighs approximately 546 grams including the battery and memory card. It also offers a comfortable grip.
The EOS R8 Mark II performs remarkably well in low light. Its full-frame sensor can capture about 2.5 times more light than an APS-C sensor, resulting in better image quality and superior autofocus performance in dim lighting. It makes it easy to take dramatic shots with ultra-wide-angle lenses or create a beautiful blurred background (bokeh).
Canon has provided options to customize image styles directly in the camera. To achieve preferred colors and moods without post-editing, two new color filters—‘Negative Film Tone’ and ‘Positive Film Tone’—have been added for photos and videos. In addition to the existing 14 filters, users can adjust the filter intensity. For time-lapse videos, options like exposure smoothing, timer priority, and delayed start are included.
For beginners, there is a Creative Auto Mode, which Canon has introduced to an EOS full-frame camera for the first time.
This model also packs several features for content creators and videographers. The camera can record 4K 60p video and Full HD video up to 180p with audio. It includes Canon Log 3 for flexible color grading. Furthermore, it offers four wired and wireless streaming options for direct live broadcasts. Users can also broadcast from multiple angles using the Live Switcher mobile app.
