In the aftermath of the tragic plane crash into Milestone School and College in city's Uttara, the Indian specialist medical team during its Dhaka visit was praised widespread for its humanitarian supports to the victim. Their assistance in treating the injured has touched the hearts of many, particularly on social media where Bangladeshi netizens have expressed immense gratitude. However, amid the praise, a few critical voices have also emerged.
The Indian medical delegation had worked with the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery in Dhaka. On Friday, the team held its second round of consultations with Bangladeshi doctors, monitored the recovery progress of patients, and exchanged insights on treatment protocols and emergency medical management.
A photo-post shared on the verified Facebook page of the Indian High Commission depicting the team’s activities received more than 5,500 reactions, 489 shares, and 642 comments within 19 hours. Among the reactions, there were 3,300 'Likes', 1,900 'Loves', and 206 'Care' responses — indicating a wave of emotional support and appreciation.
Social media user Selim Khan wrote: “We are deeply thankful to the Indian government and medical professionals for standing beside us during such a crisis.”
