‘Everything in 4IR era will be governed by technology’

Experts at a webinar on Saturday said the nation is entering into the age of fourth industrial revolution where everything will be governed by technology. 

They said It is easy to find and enter, in a moment, into the Institute or organization in other parts of the world just by log-in through its website.

The remarks were made in the launching ceremony of  “Automation of One Stop Connectivity to ICAB”, organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB)  on Saturdayto connect its members, students and stakeholders from a single point of digital system.

Zuena Aziz, Chief Coordinator for Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Affairs in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) inaugurated the system virtually while ICAB President MahmudulHasanKhusru FCA delivered address of welcome.

The Chief Coordinator for SDGs Affairs at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) Zuena Aziz, while addressing, said, we are going to the age of fourth industrial revolution where everything will be governed by technology. It is easy to find and enter, in a moment, into the Institute or organization in other parts of the world just by log-in through its website.

 How easy it is!, she said adding that our education sector has been dramatically changed with the arrival of Information Technology. To run the business in the right way and to generate expected outcomes, computers and the internet help a lot, she added.

She also said, during this pandemic time, students have become used to ICT as they are attending classes through online digital platform.

Appreciating ICAB’s initiative for website automation, she said, our educational institutions should come up with IT solution for learning.

ICAB Council Member and Past President Muhammad Farooq FCA presided over the ceremony as moderator and council member Md. Moniruzzaman FCA presented a brief presentation on Automation of One Stop Connectivity to ICAB from the users point of view.  

ICAB CEO Shubhashish Bose delivered introductory remarks and Vice President Maria Howlader FCA made concluding remarks.

ICAB President MahmudulHasanKhusru FCA said, one thing is clear, what is happening today is the natural course of global economic development. As a result of being an integral part of the financial system, accounting and auditing services can’t stand avoid these wider trends, he added.

He said, ICAB’s one stop connectivity virtually eliminates the overburden of manual tasks of the Institute.

He also said, this digital system will parse almost every service of ICAB in detailed. We think it is more important to provide ICAB’s service to the doorstep of our students and members from a single point, he said.  

He further said, “I would say it is what the pandemic has taught us. Every challenge, every obstacle comes with an inquiry for a change. This change brings in the potential for new opportunities, innovations, and new solutions that help us become even better than we had been before”

Having a resourceful website, it makes very easy for people to find ICAB, discover what it does, and answer a bunch of questions about ICAB’s activities, he said.

Implementing the right automation technology is the crucial step in the era of 4th industrial revolution and it is all about progress, becoming better, more efficient in the long run, he added.
