He said that the Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni has talked to the National Technical Advisory Committee on Covid-19.

“They have suggested closing the schools for two more weeks. Therefore, it has been decided to close the educational institutions for two more weeks,” he said.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni in a video message said that the coronavirus infection rate in the country is around 30 percent at present.

“Considering this situation, the government, in consultation with experts, has decided to extend the closure till February 20. Hopefully, everyone will follow the hygiene rules properly. As the restriction has been extended for another two weeks, the schools will be closed till February 20. Earlier, in-person classes were suspended for one and a half years due to the pandemic.
