The two-day ‘Ecocity Satellite Conference-2021’ is going to begin tomorrow (September 29). Bangladesh and Nepal are jointly organising the event at the invitation of Ecocity Builders.
Work for a Better Bangladesh (WBB) Trust, Institute of Wellbeing Bangladesh, Health Bridge Foundation of Canada, Institute of Engineering, Fulchak Campus, Digobikash Institute and Society of Environmental Engineers in Nepal are jointly organising the conference with the aim of building a livable city. The theme of this year’s conference is ‘BiodiverCity: Addressing Environment Disasters through Healthy Cities’. The theme was taken to focus on urgent issues to prevent the harmful effects of climate disasters.
To brief about the conference, WBB Trust arranged a press conference at its office at Rayerbazar in Dhaka on Monday (September 27). Representatives from various media outlets joined it virtually.
Saifuddin Ahmed, Executive Director of WBB Trust, presided over the press conference, while Naima Akhter, Project Officer of the organisation, read out the briefing paper.
Debra Efroymson, Regional Director of Healthbridge Foundation of Canada, and Shail Shrestha of Digobikash Institute in Nepal also spoke at the press conference.
