The government has provided 54 crore services through its e-governance service delivery centers setup across the country. This has ensured hassle free services at the door steps of people as well as save time and money.

Additional Secretary of the Department of Information and Communication Technology Bikarna Kumar Ghosh made this comment while speaking at a virtual training workshop on ‘Strategy for Sustainability in the Context of Management 3.0’ organsied by Bangladesh Computer Society (BCS) on Thursday.

To give members a better idea about sustainable management strategies BCS organized the session where BCS president Shahid-ul-Munir presented the welcome speech.

Bikarna Kumar Ghosh said that, “In the last four years, we have provided 54 crore services through e-governance service delivery centers set up by the government across the country. This is equivalent to about Tk 70000 crore.”

He said, “Only through efficient management we have been able to complete more meetings online than direct meetings during this pandemic. Thus with proper management it is possible to achieve maximum results with proper planning in difficult times”.

BCS President Shahid-ul-Munir said, “Management is an important part of our daily lives, business, jobs, offices. We should also have plans with time management to enrich ourselves during this time of home stay in lockdown. BCS members prefer to stay up to date on business needs regarding information technology. The emphasis must be on management to get their business on the path to success”.

Global Brands Chairman ASM Abdul Fattah said that, “Technology products are constantly changing. This change will require the ability to understand which product the customer will accept comfortably. The world's best e-commerce Amazon, Ali Express, eBay have no exhibition center of their own, but they are selling products all over the world. So there is no alternative to keep pace with the era of IT business”.

Smart Technologies BD Limited managing director Mohammad Zahirul Islam said that, “Without management 3.0, business management is now obsolete. Once upon a time there was an opportunity to work shoulder to shoulder in the same room. Now we have to work keeping social distance. One of the conditions for business development is to create a working environment for colleagues. The characteristic of a leader or boss should be to point out the way to solve the problem rather than blaming the problem”.

The training workshop was conducted by BCS Joint-Secretary General Mujahid Al Beruni Sujan and Bangladesh Skill Development Institute (BSDI) Executive Director KM Hasan Ripon. More than four hundred BCS members participated in the training program online.
