Bangladesh registered three more death from Covid-19 and daily infections rose to 2,231 in 24 hours till 8am Monday.
The total number of deaths reached to 28,105 with addition of the latest figure.
The current positivity rate jumped to 8.53pc from the last day’s 6.78pc. The overall positivity rate stands at 13.63 percent.
The new cases takes the total number of people infected to 1,595,931, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Monday.
In addition, the death rate now stands at 1.76 percent in the country. Around 26,143 samples were tested across the country till 8am Monday.
The three diseased were male between 61-70 years old.
Some 208 Covid-19 patients have recovered during this period. A total of 1,551,113 people have recovered from the virus so far and the recovery rate stands at 97.31 percent.
As of Monday, 5,507,480 people died of Covid-19 across the world and 308,071,498 have been infected so far, according to Worldometer.
