Curfew was imposed in the Dhaka Metropolitan area and all divisional headquarters, city corporations, municipalities, industrial areas, district and upazila headquarters, said the Home Ministry in a notice on Sunday.
The curfew will remain in force until further notice.
Earlier on August 3, the curfew had been relaxed from 6am-9pm in Dhaka, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said.
“Curfew will be relaxed indefinitely from today (Monday),” the minister told reporters after a meeting with the senior law enforcement officials at his Dhanmondi residence.
“All demands of the students have been accepted,” he had said, urging the students to withdraw from the protests and go home.

Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain confirmed the information on Sunday.
Emergency services including hospitals, medicine, power, gas, water and other services will be out of the purview of the order.
Earlier, the government in an executive order declared general holidays on July 21, 22 and 23. Later, it was extended for one more day on July 24.
