Ctg Customs collects Tk 59,256 cr revenue in FY 2021-22

Revenue of Tk 59,256 crore has been collected at Chattogram Customs House.  The total target for the fiscal year 2021-22 is Tk 64,065 crore.  Of this, Tk 59,256 crore has been recovered.  Which is 6 thousand 691 crore more than last financial year.  During the corona period, the growth rate was 23.20 percent.  This time 15 percent more has been collected.

According to the Chattogram Customs House, this time the revenue arrears of Tk 3,084 crore remain.  If the arrears were collected, the total collection of the current financial year would have been Tk 83,140 crore.

Chittagong Customs House has earned a revenue of Tk 51,056 crore in the fiscal year 2020-21.  In the last 2019-20 financial year, the total revenue was Tk 41 thousand 654 crore.

In the last financial year, Chattogram Customs House entered the milestone of Tk 50,000 crore by collecting Tk 51.56 crore.  Which the company has maintained this year as well.

Due to non-collection of huge amount of arrears this year, the growth of Chittagong Customs House has lagged behind by 7.42 percent.  If the arrears had been collected, the growth of castes would have been 22.42 percent.

Petrobangla, Padma Oil Company, Meghna Petroleum, Standard Asiatic Oil, Summit LNG, Accelerate Energy, Bangladesh Police and several other companies are in arrears of Tk 3,064 crore.

The total collection of the current financial year including arrears stood at Tk 83,140 crore.  Although Petrobangla is the largest revenue paying company of Chattogram Customs House.

Chattogram Customs House Commissioner Mohammad Fakhrul Alam said, "I am satisfied that Chattogram Customs House has collected revenue this year.  The collection of customs revenue is much more advanced than in the past.  We owe about 4 thousand crore taka to some big organizations.  Our full revenue collection target has been achieved.
