Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 arrested a couple from Grand Hotel intersection area here last night for blackmailing people.
"Based on the information of a case filed with Kotwali police station of Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP), the Crime Prevention Specialized Company (CPSC) of RAB-13 conducted an investigation and arrested the couple," a press release said.

The detainees are Md. Shahrukh Karim Anik, 34, and his wife Asmani Akhter, 24. The couple in connivance with their cohorts used to trap targeted people making love affairs and take them to their house where they took obscene photographs to realize money.
"During the raid, the elite force found a torture cell on the fifth floor of the house where they used to make targeted people hostages and torture them both mentally and physically to realize money," the release said.
