Munshiganj district police along with the district administration celebrated Community Policing Day with festive mood. A huge rally was organized by the district police on Saturday to mark the day. The rally ended at the police lines via Bangabandhu Road in the town.
Later, balloons were flown at police lines and cakes were cut at the Police Lines.

Munshiganj-3 MP and Secretary for Liberation War Affairs of Central Awami League Advocate MrinalKanti Das spoke as the chief guest at the programme. Additional District Magistrate Shilu Roy, Munshiganj Municipality Mayor Haji Mohammad Faisal Biplob, Convener of District Community Policing Professor Prabir Kumar Ganguly, Member of Community Forum Mukibati Islami Hiru, Sadar Upazila Vice Chairman Nazmul Hasan Sohel, Munshiganj Press Club President Mir Nasiruddin Ujjwal, Sadar Upazila Community Forum President Bir Muktijoddha MA Quader Mollah and Member Secretary Advocate Shahin Mohammad Amanullah and others attended the programme.
Public awareness on various social crimes - rape, violence against women and children, militancy, drugs, acid throwing, child abduction, women and child trafficking, child marriage, eve-teasing and counter-terrorism Emphasis were discussed at the programme.
