A day-long programme has been taken to observe the ‘Community Policing Day -2019’ today in Khulna city in a befitting manner, reports BSS.
A views-exchange meeting was held on October 14 to make the ‘Community Policing Day’ a total success at the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Headquarters with its commissioner Lutful Kabir in the chair. The programmes include a colourful rally, discussion meeting, cake cutting, art, debate and essay competition, blood donation, charity football match and cultural function.
Prizes will be distributed among winners while certificates and crest will be given to the best two members of city’s south and east unit community policing for their outstanding performances.
Additional Inspector General of Police (Admin & Operation) Moinur Rahman Chowdhury is expected to attend the function as chief guest. In his speech, KMP boss Lutful Kabir said the ‘Community Policing Day’ is aimed at making the society free from terrorism, militancy, stalking, drug abuse and child marriage.
