My eagerness to visit Chai Garam and savour their delectable teas is finally satisfied. If you’ve been looking for a café you can spend a lazy afternoon in, chill with your friends after a boring lecture, or to simply indulge in scrumptious savories and beverages, your search ends here!

Chai Garam at Banani is a widely known one-stop destination for amazing teas. One aspect of the café that cannot be ignored is its awesome cozy ambiance; you will definitely find people getting their phones out, clicking pictures for their Instagram! With indoor seating, music playing softly in the back, Chai Garam definitely brings its crowd a feeling of openness and good vibes. The waiters at the café are as efficient as they are friendly, with the service being very prompt. Located close to universities like Canadian University and Brac University you can be sure to find a young crowd at the café, their energies brimming, bringing the place to life even further.

The teas, here, are prepared by hand using fresh tea leaves and spices, by highly skilled staff, using perfected techniques of tea brewing bringing out the best flavour and great taste. Chai Garam offers a wide range of beverages and food items. They serve around 20 types of freshly brewed handmade Teas, 30 flavours of Milk shakes, Coolers and Iced Teas. The tea is freshly brewed without the use of tea bags or vending machines while the food menu offers a vast assortment of snacks ranging from Pastas, Sandwiches and Omelettes to Parathas and Brownies that are better suited to our deshi palate.

Before I give you some brief idea about the varieties of tea available here, let me tell you that their savories are also insanely good. I tried their White Sauce Chicken Pasta (BDT 170), Chicken Sandwich (BDT 90). But I absolutely loved their Aloo Chicken Paratha (BDT 75) and Poha (BDT 80), they were just too good! Something you can’t afford to miss when you visit this fascinating tea room!

Among Teas, Kulhad Wali Gur Elaichi Chai (BDT 70) is a must have during winters. Gur elaichi chai is a flavourful tea made with freshly crushed cardamom and powdered jaggery. Chai Garam Special (BDT 90) is one of the best kinds of tea to enjoy anytime. It is their special flavoured masala tea made by brewing black tea with a mixture of six aromatic spices and herbs. Lemon Ice Tea (BDT 50) is super refreshing. You can actually taste real tea and real lemon – not just sweetness. Green Apple (BDT 120) and Oreo Shake (BDT 120) are indulging as well.

Chai Garam is a den of teas, fresh from the garden having so many health benefits. These teas with their amazing spectrum of colors, aroma and flavour will surely bring you back for more to this cozy outlet. Overall a beautiful tea place Dhaka is blessed with and I am planning to visit soon again.
