CCCI provides BiPAP machines, masks to 6 hospitals

Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry has provided 12 sets of bivalve positive airway pressure (BiPAP) machines and masks to 6 medical colleges and hospitals in the city, including Chittagong General Hospital, for the treatment of corona virus patients.

President Mahbubul Alam handed over machines and masks to representatives of various private hospitals at the chamber's office at the World Trade Center on Wednesday.

 Chamber President requested to set up a vaccination center at a competent private hospital located in Chittagong city.

 Chamber Director Md. AhidSiraj Chowdhury (Swapan), AnjanShekhar Das, Mohammad Adnanul Islam and Tanvir Mostafa Chowdhury were present at the occasion.  

Acting President of Chittagong Mother and Child General Hospital Executive Committee SM Morshed, Treasurer Dr. Rezaul Karim Azad, Deputy Director (Administration) Dr. AKM Ashraful Karim, USTC Director Dr. Kamrul Hasan, Southern Medical College and Hospital Principal and Head of the Department of Medicine Prof. Dr. Jaybrata Das were present among others while receiving the machines and masks.

While handing over the medical and safety equipment, the president of the chamber Mahbubul Alam said that at present the general public in Chittagong region is at high risk due to the outbreak of corona virus.  Infections and mortality are on the rise.
