The President of The Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Mahbubul Alam has been appointed Honorary Consul of Japan in Chattogram.
Japan's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ito Naoki announced this appointment while speaking at the farewell reception held at the residence of the Japanese Ambassador in Dhaka last December 7 evening.
At that time, ministers and secretaries of various ministries, ambassadors of various countries assigned to Bangladesh and business leaders were present on the occasion.
Business leader Mahbubul Alam served as the Vice-President of The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry and CIRC Chamber of Commerce and Industry and as the Chairman of Business Initiative Leading Development (BUILD).
