CCCI leaders exchange views with UK Chamber Wales delegation

A view exchange meeting of the business leaders of Chattogram with a delegation led by Peter Paul Slevin, the executive president of UK Chamber Wales, now visiting Bangladesh, was held at the Bangabandhu Conference Hall at the World Trade Center on Tuesday.

 Chamber President Mahbubul Alam presided over the meeting.  Chamber Senior Vice President Tarifdar Md Ruhul Amin, Interlink Business Consultancy Mahbub Noor, Concrete Canvas Group Darren Hughes, Abraham Dean Associates Director Saeed Uddin, UK Global Recruitment Consultants CEO Noman Ruhid, Chamber Former Director Mahfuzul Haque Shah, Bangladesh Shipping  Agents Association Director Shahed Sarwar and Little Jewel School Principal Dilruba Ahmed spoke.

 Chamber directors AKM Akhtar Hossain, Zahirul Islam Chowdhury (Alamgir), Shahzada Md Fauzul Alef Khan, Sazeer Ahmed, Md Iftekhar Faisal, SM Tahsin Jonaid, Mohammad Adnanul Islam and Mohammad Nasirul Alam (Fahim), HRC Senior Director Kazi Rukunuddin Ahmed, Chamber Wales' representatives were present.

  A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Chattogram Chamber and Chamber Wales at the exchange meeting.  The agreement was signed by President Mahbubul Alam on behalf of the Chamber and Peter Paul Slevin on behalf of Wales.

 Chamber president Mahbubul Alam said that the UK is an important trade partner of Bangladesh.  In the current year Bangladesh exported about 3.1 billion pounds to the UK and imported 901 million pounds from the UK to Bangladesh.  

Delegation leader Peter Paul Slevin said that Chattogram is important for geographical reasons.  Chamber Wales' investors are keen to invest here due to the continued expansion of business, employment and partnership investment.
