Experts have suggested attaching more importance to entrepreneurial education in order to create more entrepreneurs in the country.They also suggested increasing investment in government and private sectors to ensure education, finance, and economic incubator facilities in the hands of entrepreneurs.
They made the call at a ceremony organised to unveil two books by Prof Muhammad Mahboob Ali at the Economic Reporters’ Forum in the capital on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mahboob Ali laid emphasis on sustainable development of the country and the development of entrepreneurs so that the country graduates to developed status within the stipulated time.
For that he suggested increase in allocation for education.
Prof Mahboob called upon government officials to take initiative to get training on entrepreneurship under the institutional structure.
Entrepreneur Economist Club President Ummun Nahar Azmi presided over the function. Among others, assistant professor Rehana Parvin, Department of Entrepreneurial Economics of Dhaka School Economics spoke on the occasion.
Faizul Siddiqui, a student and journalist of Dhaka School of Economics was given a reception on the occasion for his efforts to get ‘Guinness Book of World Records’ of Bangabandhu’s portrait on green canvas.
