Cabinet gets new two ministers, oath taking Saturday

Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam has said the cabinet will get two new ministers on Saturday.

Shafiul Alam came up with the disclosure at a press briefing on the DC conference at secretariat on Thursday.

Replying to a question, he said “The new cabinet members will take oath at Bangabhaban around 7pm”.

State Minister for Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment Emran Ahmed has been promoted as full minister while Awami League Women Affairs Secretary and Parliament Member Fazilatun Nesa Indira will take oath as the new state minister of the ministry of Women and Child Affairs.

This is the second time the Cabinet has seen a major reshuffle in the seven months since ruling party Awami League came to power for the third consecutive term.

Twenty four ministers, 19 state ministers and 3 deputy ministers are in the 46-member cabinet.
