Apparel sector business leaders on Friday stressed building smart RMG industry as part of implementing the government's vision of 'Smart Bangladesh' in coordination with the government. They stressed formulating export-friendly policy and infrastructure development through effecting coordination with the government and that's why an able leadership at BGMEA needs to be elected.
The views were made in the meeting of the election conducting committee of 'Sammilito Parisad' a panel to compete in the upcoming election of Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), held at Chittagong Club in Chattogram.
Chief Coordinator of the election committee of Sammilito Parisad, former BGMEA President, Siddiqur Rahman presided over the meeting.
Panel leaders of 'Sammilito Parisad' SM Mannan Kochi, among the aspirant candidates of of the Parisd, Syed Nazrul Islam of Well Group, Rakibul Alam Chowdhury of HKC Group, M Ahsanul Haque of Mheko Fabrics Pvt. Ltd., Md Musa of Madina Garments Ltd., Amzad Hossain Chowdhury of Hi-Fashion Ltd., Mostofa Sarwar Read of RDM Apparels Ltd., Md. Rakib Al-Naser Argenta Garments, Md. Absar Hossain of Top Star Fashions Ltd., Gazi Md Shahidullah of Sonet Taextile Industries Ltd., were present among others.
