BRAC Bank has partnered with bKash Limited to provide automated cash management services for the mobile financial service provider’s nationwide network of agents, distributors, and merchants.
Tareq Refat Ullah Khan, Managing Director and CEO (Current Charge) of BRAC Bank, and Kamal Quadir, Chief Executive Officer of bKash, were present at the agreement signing ceremony held on 28 May at BRAC Bank’s head office.
Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking at BRAC Bank, was also present.
With this partnership, bKash agents and distributors who have accounts with BRAC Bank can now seamlessly purchase e-money for their bKash wallets using funds from BRAC Bank’s SME current accounts and convert the e-money into bank deposits at any time, eliminating the need for manual cash handling and reducing operational risk.
Syed Abdul Momen said, “As financial transactions become increasingly digitised, our role as a transaction bank must evolve to match the pace and scale of customer needs. This partnership is a strategic move to strengthen our digital infrastructure.”
