Market analysts said the bourses have remained volatile most of the year with coronavirus outbreak causing a crisis in liquidity and confidence among the investors despite government’s initiatives to keep the market buoyant.

The market closures stopped the investors’ earnings, making their lives miserable, they added.

Analysts, however, insisted practicing social distance and complying with hygiene guidelines during the trading, settlement and office work to avoid contracting the deadly coronavirus

“When stock markets across the world are open, closure of our markets would give a negative signal to the investors” economist and market expert Prof Abu Ahmed told The Bangladesh Post.

Reopening markets will help investors to trade and sell their shares to earn their daily expenses, he added.

Investors went through financial hardship during the shutdown over coronavirus, said Ahmed appreciating the government’s decision to resume trading in the capital markets.
