BNP trick to fool people flops

Published : 12 Oct 2022 09:59 PM

In the immortal words of Abraham Lincoln “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time.” When people understand your tricks, they will certainly make you a fool.

The main objective of politics is to serve people by bringing about welfare of the people.

Greek philosopher Plato was in favour of Philosopher King, which means the king should be healthy and highly qualified, so that he could think only of  good and deliver good for the people in his pursuit of creating a great nation.

Of course, there are politicians in many countries in the world, who engage themselves in achieving something out of the objective of serving people which invites political discourse for obvious reason. History will judge the people as per their acts and deeds and nobody will be excused in the eye of history. Even then some people make the same mistakes repeatedly and they want to make people fool. They don’t take lessons from history and that is the whole tragedy that history repeats itself.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) had made a mistake by not participating in the polls held in 2014. They chose the path of violence. They had burnt more than 500 primary schools (polling stations) throughout the country in a bid to resist election. Election is a universal way of making democracy a success, but BNP kept itself out of the election process. It was a political blunder to boycott election, because election is the main gateway to assume state power. Again they made the same mistakes in 2018.  Moreover, they played a suicidal game by nominating 5 to 6 people in one constituency and the painful result out of such a decision was that all those candidates didn’t work for mobilizing people voting in favour of them and that’s why the ruling party got the free fields to mobilizing voters unhindered and got absolute majority. Because of repeated wrong decision, the BNP became outcast from politics and it was regarded as confirm stupidity in politics, or they do not have belief in elections and democracy.

Recently they have started playing a mysterious game. They are saying that after December 10, 2022, there will be a miracle and their leader Khaleda Zia, a convicted prisoner staying at home through the mercy of the ruling party Prime Minister, would lead the government as prime minister of the country. The election is supposed to be held sometimes in late December,2023 or in January,2024, but how will Khaleda Zia become the prime minister of the country? This type of rhetoric is regarded as a testimony of political bankruptcy.

The people of Bangladesh would have thought that over the decades of a political march forward, the BNP has neither displayed any political culture nor has learnt anything about the norms of politics.

No miracle can change the political scenario. It needs people’s mandates and political sagacity of the leaders. A great leader can make a great nation, and a man politically corrupt and criminal makes people corrupt.

Some people, who had been fighting against the Liberation War and helping the Pakistan army in carrying out genocide in Bangladesh and those who are dead against the existence of Bangladesh as an independent nation are deeply engaged in conspiracy to destabilize the country.

They want to see Bangladesh again as a failed state. They have proved themselves as the real enemies of the country and its peace-loving people.

The people who believe in country’s peace and progress must understand the birth-travail through which something great emerges and they would certainly try to tolerate that pain.
