BEZA inks MoC with JETRO to exchange investment info

Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) has signed an MoC (Memorandum of Cooperation)- with Japan External Trade Organization for exchanging and circulating the investment information.

The MoC was signed in a ceremony at the BEZA headquarters at Agargaon in the capital on Monday.

Japanese Ambassador in Dhaka, Naoki Ito and Executive Vice President of JETRO Kazuya Nakajo were present on the occasion as special gusts with BEZA Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Harun in the chair.

The MoC mainly aims at establishing communications between BEZA and JETRO through which the two organisations will recognize each other as responsible to exchange investment information and circulate them. Under the MoC the information like investment opportunity at BEZA, regarding investment and trade information production industry, logistics and other issues at BEZA will be exchanged. It also will exchange information about stimulus and other facilities for investment at BEZA and also to disseminate marketing and research findings. 

BEZA Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusif Harun congratulated JETRO for signing the MoC, 

Japanese Ambassador in Dhaka Naoki Ito, while addressing, said that this MoC will bear much importance in regard to establishing Japanese Economic Zone, Araihazar, Narayanganj as a world class standard Economic Zone under BEZA 

He said Bangladesh has been working to develop an investment-friendly environment and the exchange of information between BEZA and JETRO will help creating much more opportunity of attracting foreign investment from different countries of the world. 

JETRO representative in Dhaka Yuji Ando and BEZA Executive Chairman Sheikh Yusuf Harun signed the agreement on behalf of the respective organisations.
