Bangladesh Lion and Dragon Dance sports Association (BLDDSA) along with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh and Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCCI) had jointly organized a lion dance training camp in Dhaka.
Upon successful completion of the training camp, participants were handed their certificates on Thursday.
Chief Guest Yue Liwen, Cultural Counsellor of the China embassy in Bangladesh was present via zoom.
The Cultural Counsellor of the China embassy in Bangladesh Yue Liwen congratulated all who had successfully completed the training program and the organizers fir successfully organizing the event.
He mentioned that the lion dance is an auspicious being, the dance was developed by observing the movement of the lion and it is full of history and tradition.
He expressed his interest in promoting cooperation from the Chinese embassy in order to ensure the smooth running of the association.
He said that the Chinese people have a long history of mutual gains with the people of Bangladesh.
Shahjahan Mridha Benu , General Secretary of BLDDSA began with a message of greetings to all attending in person or online. After congratulating all successful participants, Benu spoke of using culture to build bridges among people of different cultures.
BLDDSA joint secretary Al Mamun Mridha moderated the function and informed that Bangladesh can adapt and learn quickly. So with proper patronage from the Chinese embassy, the required help will be received to take the association to a global level.
Following a display of the lion dance and wushu martial arts, certificates were given out among the 50 participants and the program was brought to an end.
