Mercantile Bank Limited signed an participatory agreement with Bangladesh Bank for disbursement of loans under a refinancing scheme worth Tk.5,000 crore for food security of the country at the latter’s headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday.
In presence of Abdur Rouf Talukder, Governor of Bangladesh bank, Md. Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Mercantile Bank and Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Director of Agricultural Credit Department of Bangladesh Bank signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
Deputy Governor A K M Sajedur Rahman Khan and Mohammad Shafruzzaman Khan, Head of Agriculture Credit Division of Mercantile Bank along with senior officials from both the organizations were also present on the signing ceremony.
