While addressing the gathering, the Minister highly appreciated the remarkable achievements and rapid progress attained by AAUB within a short span of time.

He stated that the university would play a transformative role in the development of education, economy, and communication infrastructure in the Lalmonirhat region, while also opening new horizons in the aviation and aerospace sectors of Bangladesh.

The Minister expressed satisfaction after visiting the university’s modern laboratories, research facilities, and other academic infrastructures. He encouraged the students to work hard with confidence and dedication, expressing hope that they would contribute significantly to advancing the country’s aviation and aerospace sectors in the future.

He also urged the teachers to nurture the values of humanity and patriotism among students alongside the pursuit of knowledge. Finally, he assured his full support for the overall development of the university.

AAUB Vice-Chancellor Air Vice Marshal M Mustafizur Rahman warmly welcomed the chief guest upon his arrival at the university and later bid him farewell at the end of the programme.

As part of the 7th Raising Day celebrations, AAUB unveiled its flagship aviation and aerospace magazine titled “SPACE & BEYOND.”

A colourful cultural programme performed by the university's students also added vibrancy to the event.

The programme was attended by Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur, Senior government, military and civil officials of Lalmonirhat district, dignitaries and all members of the AAUB family.

It is worth mentioning that AAUB commenced its journey in 2019 from the old airport building at Tejgaon with limited infrastructure. Subsequently, on 03 July 2022, the university officially launched its undergraduate academic activities at the Lalmonirhat campus. At present, AAUB offers four undergraduate and five postgraduate programmes under four faculties.
