Competitors from Smart Sports Academy in Agargaon, a team under Dhaka North City Corporation area, have won the honour of being the runner-up by winning 16 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 34 bronze medals in the 4th Sony-Smart National Shitoryu Karate Competition-2025.
A total of 900 male and 300 female players from 40 organizations including banks, insurance, districts, divisions, city corporations, universities and Bangladesh Biman participated in this national-level competition. Competitors from Bangladesh Bank Karate team won the honor of becoming the champion by winning the highest gold medal.
The national-level competition was recently organized by the Bangladesh National Shitoryu Karate Federation at the Mehfil Convention Hall in Mirpur, Dhaka. Smart Electronics Limited (Sony-Smart), the official distributor of Japan's world-famous brand Sony in Bangladesh, provided overall support.
Grand Master Ostad Jahangir Alam inaugurated the competition. The closing and award ceremony was attended by the chief guest, Land Survey Tribunal, Dhaka Judge Md. Sirajul Islam.

Mizanur Rahman, Vice Presidents Sheikh Wahed Ali, Samalem Hossain Biswas and Prof. Ajay Dey, General Secretary Shihan Mostafizur Rahman, Joint Secretary Mahfuzur Rahman Billal, Farman Ali, Md. Jasim Uddin and Gazi Yunus, International Affairs Secretary Dr. Tarek Z, and other officials of the federation.
