Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Md Tajul Islam on Saturday said about 30 lakh job opportunities will be created at Mirsarai Economic Zone.
The minister said this while distributing LED lights to Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), received as a grant from the Chinese Government, at a function as chief guest at Radisson Brew Bay View in the city, reports BSS.
“Bangabandhu dreamt of a developed country and his daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is now materializing that dream and has made the country self-sufficient in food production, education and health food”, he said.
“We have the opportunity to earn billions of dollars from Chattogram and we have to work in this regard,” he added.
Senior Secretary of Local Government Division Helaluddin Ahmed presided over the function while CCC Administrator Khorshed Alam Sujan, Chattogram Zila Parishad Chairman Abdus Salam and Additional Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram Mizanur Rahman, among others, addressed the function as special guests.
