UNB, Gazipur:: At least 15 people suffered burn injuries from a gas balloon explosion at the election office of BNP in Tongi of Gazipur on Monday.
Md Shahin Alam, officer-in-charge of Tongi West Police Station, said the explosion occurred at the local BNP election office from a gas balloon, leaving 15 people injured.
The injured were taken to Tongi Government Hospital.
Later, the critically injured victims were sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
However, police are investigating the incident.
