Ziaur Rahaman, the military ruler of the country wanted to make the independent country Bangladesh as a Pakistani state to fulfill the dreams of his master in Pakistan. But the Almighty did not fulfill the evil dream of the ruler. At last Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has taken the challenge to make the country Sonar Bangla (Golden Bangladesh) as desired by her father.
Matia Chowdhury MP, presidium member of t Bangladesh Awami League, said this while she was distributing blankets among the cold hit poor people at Wazir Ali high school and college ground in Jhenidah on Saturday afternoon. The senior leader of the ruling AL said Awami League is only the political party stands by the people during all natural and other odd situation as the safeguard. The people are safe until the government of AL is in power as the people are the only way and means for democracy in Bangladesh.
Matia Chowdhury said the Prime Minister has been running the country as per the constitution made during Bangabandhu which could not be demolished in any way by the evil forces. She urged upon the people to stand under the same umbrella of the AL for a safer and developed nation to compete with other dignified countries within few years.
Party’s central committee organizing secretary Advocate Afzal Hossain, Faridunnahar Laily, Parvin Zaman Kalpana, Shamsunnahar Champa, AL Jhenidah district unit general secretary Saidul Karim Mintu among others present. A total of 3,000 blankets were distributer during the time, said general secretary Mintu.
