General Zia was involved in the conspiracy of the assassination of Bangabandhu in 1975 and his son Tarique was the main architect of August 21 heinous grenade attack to kill Bangabandhu’s daughter Sheikh Hasina.
This was said by State Minister for Social Welfare Ministry Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, MP, while he was speaking as chief guest in a discussion organized by Netrakona Muktizuddha Sansad which was held at district Muktizoddha complex on Friday.
Netrakona District Muktizoddha Sangsad organized the meeting marking the National Mourning Day and 45th death anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and August 21 grenade attack day.
Newly joined Deputy Commissioner of Netrakona and Convener of Muktizuddha Sangsad Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman was in the chair. The meeting was addressed by among others, superintendent of police Akber Ali Munshi, former commander of district Muktizoddha sangsad Nurul Amin, former deputy commander Abdul Motin and freedom fighter Aiyub Ali.
Later, the state minister Khasru distributed bank cheques amounting to taka 15lakh and 50 thousand among 88 voluntary clubs or organizations in Netrakona press club hall room.
Deputy Commissioner of Netrakona Kazi Mohammad Abdur Rahman, SP Netrakona Akber Ali Munshi and deputy director of district social service department Alal Uddin were present at the cheque distribution function.
