Zero-tolerance policy to prevent stone-throwing in moving train

Railway Police Superintendent Md Hasan Chowdhury said, "We are carrying out various activities to prevent stone throwing."  We have carried out bit policing activities in every railway station of Chattogram, adjacent to the station, mosques, madrasas and with the students, teachers, and members of the school management committee.  We are following the zero tolerance policy to prevent stone throwing.

He said, if you find anyone who is planning to throw stones, let us know.  We will take action.  No one will be allowed to throw stones.  Our intelligence activities have been increased on each train.  We have deployed additional police in the identified areas. I am also explaining to people about the evils of throwing stones at different points.  Teachers are raising this issue in their lessons.  Our campaigns will be conducted wherever we get information.

Chattogram Railway Superintendent of Police Md. Hasan Chowdhury visited the areas marked by throwing stones.  Eight students were injured when outsiders hurled stones at a Chattogram University (CU) shuttle train.  Two students were injured in a stone-throwing incident on a train on the night of April 8.  On the same night, Chhatra League gave a memorandum to the university administration to take necessary steps to stop stone throwing.  Taking into account the matter, the university authorities launched a shuttle operation on Saturday.

Assistant Superintendent of Police, Railway OC of Chattogram Railway Police was present at the time.
