Miscreants have stabbed a young man to death in front of Subgramhat Durga mandir under Bogura sadar police station on Monday night (around 1-00 am on October-26). The deceased was identified as Subrata alias Samrat Das (27) son of Kalipada das of Palpara area. Additional police have been deployed around the temple complex following the incident.
Humayun Kabir, Officer in charge of Bogura Sadar police station informed, around 1-00 am on Monday Samrat was driving through the road on a motorbike in front of the temple. The miscreants attacked Samrat during this time when he fell from the motorbike and took shelter in the temple premises. Miscreants then stabbed him repeatedly with a sharp weapon killing him on the spot.
Being informed. police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and sent it to the morgue of Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
Officer in Charge Humayun Kabir further informed there are several cases against Samrat including the murder case. He is the younger brother of listed terrorist Hari Jewel. Police started a crackdown in the area following the incident to arrest the miscreants involved in the incident.
There are five cases including murder, dacoity and arms cases against Samrat. Additional police have been deployed at the troubled area following the incident.
