Youth shot dead by Rohingya ‘terrorists’ in Teknaf

A Bangladeshi youth was shot dead by Rohingya terrorists in Teknaf of Cox's Bazar on Thursday.

The incident took place at around 10 am in Shalbagan area of Hnila union in Teknafupazila. 

The deceased was identified as Abdus Shukkur, 30, son of Abul Bashar of the area.

Abdus Shukkur's uncle Abul Hashem said, “A group of armed Rohingya terrorists led by Jocky robber from Shalbagan Rohingya camp entered the house, dragged AbdurShukkur out, fired three shots and left for the camp”.

Receiving the news, the APBN member in charge of the Rohingya camp and the police of Teknaf police station reached the spot, he added.

Confirming the incident, Teknaf Police Officer-in-Charge Abdul Alim said, “A team of Teknaf Police recovered the body from the spot. Preparations are underway to send his body to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Police are trying to catch the accused in this incident”.
