A young man was killed when he was hit by a high-speed train in Jashore.T he incident took place in Pakergati Palpara area of Basundia.
Jessore Railway Police in-charge Tariqul Islam said the incident took place around 11:30 pm on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Bablu Mia, 40, son of late Sobhan Haji of Sastitala area of Jashore town. Babul was hit by a high speed Jashore bound train from Khulna. Babul died within minutes on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, the railway police went to the spot and brought the body to Jashore railway station. After talking to the family of the deceased, the body was sent to the morgue of Jashore Medical College Hospital.
Bablu's nephew Hasib said he had been in Dhaka for a long time. A few days ago he came to Jashore from Dhaka. Go to Bablu's brother-in-law Abu Said in Basundia. Took a shop for a new business there. Bablu was working his shop at night.
The incident took place when he was washing his hands and face on the side of the railway line after work.
He added that he has a son and a daughter. The wife lives with her son and daughter at her father's house at Fultala in Khulna.
