Youth connection boosts Indo-Bangla relation

Study in India’ expo begins

The ‘Study in India’ expo, a two-day education exposition, began at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) at Agargaon in the city on Friday.

Jishnu Prasanna Mukherjee, first secretary (education) of the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh, inaugurated the event in the presence of distinguished dignitaries and guests from the field of academia.

While inaugurating the expo, Jishnu Prasanna Mukherjee said, “India is a big brand all over the world. People come here from across the globe to take experience on many issues. Youth connection between Bangladesh and India should be made stronger to stronger. There is a lot of opportunity for Bangladeshi students to explore India on so many disciplines.” 

More than 40 prominent universities, colleges and boarding schools across India are participating in the event to showcase the aptitudes of Indian education.

The expo is supported by the High Commission of India and India–Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce. It is co-organised by an Indian-based consultancy firm AFAIRS Exhibitions and Media Pvt Ltd, in association with A2Z Study, a Dhaka-based education consultancy.

The event is aimed at providing easy and direct access to Bangladeshi students in the Indian academic institutions.

Moreover, it will enable students and parents to gather correct information on courses which are in demand, eligibility, course fees, installment options, placement scope, etc. 

Some of India’s most renowned and high ranking boarding schools are participating in the expo, this year. The participating schools are offering wide range of curriculum options like International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge (IGCSE) and Indian boards like I.S.C.E and C.B.S.E. 

Some of the participating Schools are Kasiga School (Dehradun), Birla International School (Rajasthan), MIT Pune's Vishwashanti Gurukul (Pune), Ecole Globale International Girls' School (Dehradun), Delhi Public School (Durgapur), Aditya Academy Secondary (Kolkata), Redbridge International Academy (Bengaluru), Sanjay Ghodawat International School (Kolhapur),etc. 

The expo is also offering spot registration of admission on engineering, medical, paramedical, dental, nursing, biotechnology, pharmacy, IT, MBA, BBA, hotel management, journalism, architecture and many more subjects as per the admission procedure of the respective colleges.

Some of the prominent universities and colleges participating in the fair are Amity University (Kolkata), Adamas University (Kolkata), Brainware University (Kolkata), JIS University, (Kolkata), Dayananda Sagar University (Bangalore), Sri Ramachandra Institute Of Higher Education And Research (Chennai), Aditya Educational Institutions(Kakinada), SRM Institute of Sciences & Technology (Chennai), Acharya Institutes (Bangalore), AIMS Institutes (Bangalore), Sharda University (Delhi NCR), Manav Rachna Educational Institutions      (Delhi NCR),  Lovely Professional University (Punjab) and many such others.
