The only accused in the rape of a seven-year-old child who was raped by his cousin in Brahmanbaria Nabinagar Upazila has been arrested from Birgaon Union Kishorepur village last Thursday.
The accused is Saiful Mia alias Shahabuddin, 20, son of Abdul Hannan Miah of Vandusar village in Natghar union Confirming the matter, Shibpur police outpost in-charge SI Ihsanul Haque said, "Three teams of police worked to arrest Saiful. We were successful." The accused is being handed over to the court.
On Tuesday, July 21, the 7-year-old daughter of Fazlul Haque of Bhandusa village in Natghar Union was raped by her cousin Saiful Mia alias Shahabuddin, who returned from Oman.
At one stage of the rape, when there was a lot of pain and bleeding, the child screamed and Saiful left him and fled. The 7-year-old child went home with severe pain and informed about the incident to her mother. Later, the family members took him to Brahmanbaria General Hospital.
