With about 120 million voters in the national parliament election, the presence of young voters was satisfactory to make the election participatory.

Till noon on Sunday, such scenarios were seen in various centers of Dhaka.

Naeem and Kamal, election coordinators of Awami League candidates of Dhaka-7 constituency, said that due to cold, the number of voters in various centers was relatively low in the morning, but as the day progressed, the number of voters increased.

In Dhaka-7, two to three other candidates’ polling agents could be seen inside the center except for the boat candidate’s. Apart from the Awami League, other candidates and leaders and activists were also seen outside the centre. However, there were no reports of any kind of tension or untoward incident.

Awami League candidate AFM Bahauddin Nashim's Dhaka-8 Constituency polling stations in the Dhaka University (DU) area have seen a different picture as voters were coming to the Dhaka University polling station in an ambulance. The same picture was seen at Dhaka University Club, NX Building and Udayan High School

Centre. Local councilor Asaduzzaman Asad said that there were many physically ill voters who could not come to the polling station normally. I think they will also benefit from this. The numbers of ambulance drivers have been given on social media. By this the voters of this area can avail this service by calling that number.

Actor Ferdous Ahmed is competing as a candidate of the ruling Awami League from Dhaka-10 seat in the 12th National Assembly elections. This constituency includes Dhanmondi, Hazaribagh and surrounding areas of the capital. There are four Ferdous rivals. KM Shamsul Alam (Mango) of National People's Party, Haji Md Shahjahan (Plough) of Jatiya Party, Shahriar Iftekhar (Stick) of Bangladesh Cultural Liberation Jote (Muktijot) and Md Baharane Sultan Bahar (Television) of Bangladesh Nationalist Front (BNF).

At Manipur High School and College Polling Station of Dhaka-14 Constituency Rupnagar, the number of young female voters was increasing as the day went on. At the polling station, Mony's family said their young daughter was the first voter, so they came with joy. Having supported Awami League all his life, he voted for boat this time too.

Sharmin Murshid, chief executive officer of election analyst and observer Brati, said, “If new voters vote, then the factor will be; And if they don't vote, it's still a factor."

Crowds of boat supporters as well as other candidate supporters were seen outside these centres. They were helping with voter slips outside the center.

It should be noted that there are 11 crore 96 lakh 91 thousand 937 voters in 300 constituencies. Among them, 6 crore 7 lakh 71 thousand 720 male voters and 5 crore 89 lakh 19 thousand 369 female voters. And there are 848 third gender voters.

In the last 11th parliamentary election, the number of voters was more than 10 crore 42 lakh. According to that, in five years after 2018, the number of voters has increased by about 1 crore 54 lakh. About 1900 candidates are in the fight for votes in 300 seats. In this election, there will be a tough fight between boat candidates and Jatiya Party and independent candidates in more than half a hundred seats.

Among them, there are more than a hundred independent candidates, who are office bearers at various levels of the Awami League.
