Actor Parno Mittra said in a statement, “I’m just glad that people from my generation are coming forward and trying to make a change. They are my colleagues and I’m very happy for what they’ve achieved. I hope this inspires the youth to come forward and make a change because sitting in the comfort of your air-conditioned homes and ranting about issues on Facebook and Twitter isn’t going to bring about any change. The rest, time will tell. You want change, be the change. As a youngster growing up in this city and state, we were used to the fact that there would be a lack of jobs, no new industries, no infrastructure.”

“Then came the great change, the one which was supposed to fulfill our aspirations, dreams and usher in a new climate where Bengal would get big-ticket industries, investments, infrastructure, along with the things we take for granted — healthcare, education and alignment with law and order. However, all we got was boasting and false assurances, while corruption, complete breakdown of law and order along with zero improvement in healthcare and education continued to rule the roost,” she added.

“Also, the present government only cared for its own interest and indulged in a disturbing fight with the central government at the expense of us citizens. Enough is enough. I want to be a part of the new millennials, who will be part of the change, not only in the digital world but also on the streets of Kolkata and districts of Bengal,” She concluded.

This actor is now working on various new projects.
