Yaba traders using code words for sale

Published : 02 Aug 2021 09:42 PM

Police have arrested two yaba sellers in Chittagong.  They were arrested late last night in front of the gate of Abu Saudagar Colony on Hajipara MP Eshaq Road in the city's Double Mooring Police Station.  They were very clever in selling yaba.  The only code word given to them is Yaba!

The two arrested are Lucky Akhter (33) and Nilufa Begum (42).  There are 6 cases against Lucky Akter in different police stations of the city and 1 case against Nilufa.

Double Mooring Police Station OC Mohammad Mohsin said, Lucky and Nilufar were selling yaba very cleverly.  They sell yaba in front of the gate of Abu Saudagar Colony on Hajipara MP Eshaq Road of Double Mooring Model Police Station.  There is a small hole in that gate.  When you knock on the door twice, someone's voice comes from inside.

Then they give the code word (special word or sentence) to the gate and yaba comes out of that gate!  Code words were different from time to time.  Once upon a time there were 'biscuits'.  After saying a certain number of biscuits, that number of yaba comes out!  Earlier, 'beef', 'bone', 'beech' etc.

have been used as code words!  Nilufa was arrested last Sunday while buying yaba in this manner.  Lucky was also arrested on the information given by him later.  52 pieces of yaba were recovered from them.  A case has been filed against the two of them under the Narcotics Act.
