World Tuberculosis Day was observed in Kishoreganj on Thursday. A colourful rally marking this day was brought out in the town.
A procession and discussion meeting was organized in collaboration with the District Health Department, Damien Foundation and Natab.
Civil Surgeon Dr Saiful Islam presided over the meeting. Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital Deputy Director Dr Helal Uddin was attended as chief guest. It was address among others by Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr Zahir Alam Talukder, Upazial Health & Family Planning Officer Dr Nazmul Karim, Dr Avijit Pondit, Damien Foundation Officer Dr Tonmoy Datta and Senior Health Educator Md Obidul Hoque spoke on the occassion.
It is to be mentioned that upazila and district administrations across the country brought out processions marking this day and organised discussions.
