Students and people from all walks of life paid rich tributes and expressed their admiration and affection to all teachers, marking the World Teachers’ Day. This year marks the 28th anniversary of World Teachers’ Day or International Teachers’ Day. The day was launched to promote help towards teachers and create awareness about their importance.
,The government is going to introduce a fresh national curriculum from next year aimed at raising Bangladeshi children as the global citizens to make them befit for the 4th Industrial Revolution (4RI). Our children should have skills that they can use anywhere in the world. So, country’s valued and qualified teachers should do their best to build the students as competent human resources with utmost sincerity, honesty and patriotic zeal.
Teachers are the architects of a nation
All must uphold the dignity of the teachers. There is no alternative to ensuring all facilities for teachers to improve quality of education. Also, teachers should devote themselves to produce properly educated, knowledgeable, patriotic and enlightened citizens for building a sustainable society.
Teachers are the architects of a nation as they play an important role in building up an educated nation through motivating students and encouraging learning. It is unfortunate to note that many teachers of primary and secondary schools and colleges were assaulted, beaten up and abused in many ways especially in the remote areas by the local hoodlums, public representatives, influential people and students in the last few years. These types of incidents should never happen in our country.
It is the responsibility of the local administration and public representative to ensure security of the teachers. On the other hand, teachers’ involvement in politics is also affecting the academic atmosphere.
We believe our teachers will give more importance to expediting the classroom-based education system. Teachers will earn more respect and gratitude from their student’s successful learning, growth and achievements, if they discharge duties and responsibilities in proper way.
