World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day was observed under the auspices of Chuadanga Red Crescent Unit following hoisting of national and Red Crescent flags, rally and discussion meeting on May 8.
National flag and Red Crescent flags were hoisted by Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP of Chuadanga-1 constituency and Adv. Sohrab Hossain, vice-chairman of the unit respectively.
A rally was brought out and paraded the roads of the district town to mark the day. Later a discussion was held with Adv. Sohrab Hossain, vice-chairman of the unit in the chair. Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP, addressed as chief guest at the program. Adv. Selim Uddin Khan, Adv. MM Shahjahan Mukul, Ashaduzzaman Kabir and Mst. Bilkis Jahan were present at the meeting. The programs were conducted by Shahidul Islam Sahan, General Secretary of the unit.
Solaiman Hoque Joarder Selun, MP, urged upon the members of Youth Red Crescent of Chuadanga to stand by the side of people, who are affected by any natural disasters in the areas like devastating fire incidents, flood affected and epidemic situations.
