Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change Shahab Uddin said that all countries of the world now follow Bangladesh and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as a role model of development. Because Sheikh Hasina has made Bangladesh a dignified country and remarkable in the world through the development of the country by uniting all. He said Bangladesh is no longer a poor country, Bangladesh's name has been inscribed in the list of developing countries. The unprecedented development of communication system in the country including Metrorail and electricity at every home, various types of allowances would not have been possible without Sheikh Hasina in power.
This was stated by the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate change while addressing as the special guest meeting organized by Bangladesh Awami League, Moulvibazar District Branch at Moulvibazar Government High School ground on Monday.
Mentioning that he is fulfilling his responsibilities as the Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the Minister said that as part of this, an initiative has been taken to set up a Safari Park in the name of Bangabandhu at Lathitila in Juri Upazila and Cable Car at Madhabkund waterfall.
He said the Manu river development project has been undertaken at a cost of Tk 1,000 crore as part of the development of Moulvibazar district. Excavation and embankment work of this river will start, work of Shahbazpur-Kulaura railway line is in progress. Many initiatives have been taken to improve the living standards of tea workers. He also mentioned that a medical college and a public university would be set up at Moulvibazar.
Presided over by district Awami League president and Moulvibazar-3 constituency MP Nesar Ahmed, the chief guest was Bangladesh AL presidium member Nurul Islam Nahid, present Member of Bangladesh AL Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary of Bangladesh AL Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Former Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangsad and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Assumed Accounts, Bir Muktijoddha Vice-Chairman and Syeda Johra Alauddin, Member of Parliament for the reserved women's seat were present as special guests.
