World Environment Day celebrated in Cox's Bazar

World Environment Day was celebrated in Cox's Bazar with the theme Let's Stop Plastic Pollution. On this occasion, rallies and discussion meetings were held on the initiative of various government and private organizations. A discussion meeting was organized by the Department of Environment, Cox's Bazar District Administration and Citizen Forum followed by a rally.

On this occasion, a rally was held on Monday in front of Cox's Bazar Central Shaheed Minar under the initiative of Cox's Bazar Citizen Forum. Later, a discussion meeting was held on the banks of Laldighir in the city. 

Apart from this, a colorful rally was taken out in front of the Cox's Bazar District Commissioner's office arranged by Cox's Bazar District Administration and Environment Directorate. The rally toured some of the main roads of the city and held a discussion on Environ­ment Day at Shaheed Subhash Hall of Shaheed Daulat Maidan of Public Library. Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Information Saimum Sarwar Kamal, Member of Parliament Kaniz Fatema Mostak, Former Chairman of Cox's Bazar Development Authority Lt. Col. Forkan Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Cox's Bazar Shaheen Imran, Director of Department of Environment Farid Ahmed were present as guests in these events.
