World Dance Day was celebrated in Meherpur in a festive atmosphere at Meherpur District Art Academy Auditorium in the district on Monday.
Meherpur District Arts Academy dance department artists participated the celebration. Meherpur District Arts Academy dance instructor and choreographer Sabbir Hossain Sohag directed the dance performance.
A large number of people enjoyed the dance performance. The performers danced on various songs to celebrate the day.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner of Meherpur Md Shamim Hasan and Superintendent of Police of Meherpur SM Nazmul Haque inaugurated the World Dance Day program and dance event.
Deputy Director of Local Government Md Shamim Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Hasan Ruman, Public Prosecutor Pallab Bhattacharya and others were also present at the program.
