World Bank, Japan offer scholarships

The World Bank and Japan are jointly offering postgraduate scholarships to students from developing countries to study at 19 universities around the world. The scholarship program, known as the Joint Japan World Bank Graduate Scholarship, covers full tuition fees, air travel expenses, medical insurance, and a monthly stipend for living expenses. 

The scholarship aims to provide opportunities for highly motivated and academically excellent students who are committed to making an impact in their home countries.

 Interested candidates can apply online during two application windows. 

The first window ran from January 15 to February 29, 2024, and the second window runs from March 25 to May 24, 2024. Applicants must be citizens of a developing country member of the World Bank, be in good health, have completed graduation at least three years before the date of application, and be 

involved in development-related work.

The scholarship offers students the opportunity to study at esteemed universities such as Oxford, 

Harvard, and the University of Tokyo.
